The Future of Privacy Forum has announced the six winners of the 2019 Privacy Papers for Policymakers Award. The topics covered in the winning papers included anti-discriminatory privacy, algorithmic impact assessments under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, dark patterns on retail websites, the Fourth Amendment and the potential adoption of a GDPR model in the U.S. The winner in the student paper category discussed the privacy attitudes of smart speaker users.
