Zanfir-Fortuna and Gray said provisions in the order "do not have immediate effect for the collection of consumer data," but noted they have implications on future U.S. Federal Trade Commission enforcement and privacy rulemaking. Additionally, they wrote the order emphasized privacy considerations for other federal agencies, including work on drone privacy, the mobile application ecosystem, financial data portability and more.
