Future of Privacy Forum's Gabriela Zanfir-Fortuna and Stacey Gray, CIPP/US, look at potential effects U.S. President Joe Biden's executive order on competition may have on U.S. data protection. Zanfir-Fortuna and Gray said provisions in the order "do not have immediate effect for the collection of consumer data," but noted they have implications on future U.S. Federal Trade Commission enforcement and privacy rulemaking.
