Criminal charges have been filed against former Uber Security Chief Joe Sullivan for allegedly concealing information about the company's 2016 data breach, The New York Times reports. Sullivan was charged with two felonies for his part in withholding information about the hack that led to a data breach of 57 million drivers and passengers of the ride-hailing company. In a statement, U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation Deputy Special Agent Craig Fair said Sullivan's acts were a "prolonged attempt to subvert law enforcement," noting the FBI hopes "companies stand up and take notice."
