According to a tweet, job applicant data for nearly 2,000 individuals who had applied to Australian real estate network First National was inadvertently published online, ZDNet reports. The data breach included CVs and cover letters, showcasing full names, addresses, phone numbers and other personally identifiable information. A spokesperson confirmed First National is currently dealing with the matter, adding, “The network at the moment is dealing with the appropriate authorities.” Under the country’s Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, organizations are required to notify individuals if their personal information is involved in a data breach that could result in “serious harm” as soon as practicable after discovery.
