The Washington Post reports Firefox is adding the global privacy control to its web browser, a setting notifying businesses of users’ privacy preferences. Brave and DuckDuckGo already offer the global privacy control and Firefox Chief Technology Officer Eric Rescorla said the control will be added to Firefox’s browser within the next two or three months. CEO of trade organization Digital Content Next Jason Kint said the global privacy control stops companies from using data gathered from a site elsewhere.
