Federal Communications Commission Chairman Tom Wheeler said the Federal Trade Commission and more than a dozen state attorneys general told the FCC they can enforce the proposed regulations around set-top boxes, Multichannel News reports. Wheeler confirmed the pledge of privacy enforcement in a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, among other responses to congressional inquiries, now published on the FCC website. Wheeler also told Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., his proposal to “unlock” set-tops received hundreds of thousands of comments, and will be the "most extensive examination of the subject ever undertaken."
