ECNS reports privacy concerns are bogging down the use of facial-recognition payments in China. While the software has been deployed and was popular upon its release, consumers are now wary of privacy breaches. As one user said, "If my face can be used to make payments, I will look like a walking password every day when I'm on the street." Renmin University of China Law School Professor Liu Junhai said a solution to the issue would be for Chinese lawmakers to draw up regulations for facial-recognition technology.
