  • The New York Times reports computer science researchers from the University of Chicago devised Fawkes, a technology capable of disguising photos against facial recognition systems. Fawkes, downloaded more than 50,000 times since its July release, makes pixel-level alterations to photos that don't compute with facial recognition tech.
