Facebook sent invitations to several conservative groups to discuss handling the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Politico reports. The tech company sought to meet with the groups as the company went back and forth on implementing the GDPR for all its users around the world, a move conservative groups oppose. A Facebook spokesperson said the company is reaching out to groups across the political spectrum before the May 25 implementation date. Facebook announced it will also continue to require users to accept targeted ads as part of its terms of service while offering a look into the new privacy features it will place on the site.
