Facebook is asking users' permission to use certain types of personal data in Brazil as part of compliance with data protection regulations set to be enforced Aug. 14, ZDNet reports. Facebook has not stated which types of data require consent. The company is also adding a privacy notice to its data policies on Facebook and Instagram. A bill proposing to postpone the introduction of Brazil’s General Data Protection Regulation until May 2021 has not yet been approved by Congress.
