Facebook postponed the launch of its dating service in Europe after Ireland’s Data Protection Commission said it was not notified of an intended 13 Feb. roll-out until 3 Feb., Independent.ie reports. The DPC said in a statement its concerns “were further compounded” by the fact that it did not receive documentation relating to a data protection impact assessment “or the decision-making processes that were undertaken.” The DPC conducted an inspection of Facebook Ireland’s offices 10 Feb. to gather documentation.
