At its recent developers’ conference, Facebook announced its new Anonymous Logins feature, which allows users to keep from sharing their personal data with app developers and third-party ad networks, reports Forbes. Kashmir Hill reports consumers will be able to log in to other sites using Facebook without sharing their personal data, perhaps making them “more comfortable using Facebook as their universal sign-in across the web and app ecosystem.” Other features like FbStart and AppLinks work hand-in-hand with Anonymous Logins to create a web experience that all occurs within Facebook’s purview, meaning Facebook will be able to amass behavioral data on its users that only it can offer, the report states.
