Facebook filed a lawsuit in Portugal against software company Oink and Stuff for developing browser extensions that scraped data from user sites, ZDNet reports. Facebook’s Director of Platform Enforcement and Litigation Jessica Jerome said the extensions installed “concealed code" created to scrape user information from Facebook as well as unrelated information from browsers. The company is asking a judge to issue a permanent injunction against Oink and Stuff and to force it to delete Facebook user data.
