The Washington Post reports Facebook has suspended "tens of thousands" of apps for improper handling of user data. While the investigation is ongoing, the social network said the unnamed apps were banned for inappropriate data sharing, which is the same violation that led to the Cambridge Analytica scandal and prior app suspensions. "Our goal is to bring problems to light so we can address them quickly, stay ahead of bad actors and make sure that people can continue to enjoy engaging social experiences on Facebook while knowing their data will remain safe," Facebook Vice President of Product Partnerships Ime Archibong said.
