  • Following claims of unwanted tracking around certain Apple products, The New York Times Reporter Kashmir Hill placed three AirTags, three Tiles and a GPS tracker on her husband and his belongings, with his permission, experimenting with how they tracked his movements and what surveillance he would discover. Hill said she found “critics were right: Apple’s safeguards against nefarious use weren’t foolproof.”
  • Bloomberg reports Apple has improved AirTag privacy settings following stalking claims. The company said a new warning at set up will state the device is intended for tracking items not individuals, notification issues have been corrected and a Precision Finding feature has been added to let iPhone users locate an AirTag that may be used to follow them.
