Indica News reports a group of Asia-Pacific company executives believes the framework for privacy legislation in India needs to be solidified. According to the executives, the categories of data under the Personal Data Protection Bill and provisions on government's access to data are among the issues that require attention and clarity. "Although the Indian data protection bill aims to play an important role in fabricating regulations for governing the increasingly data-driven landscape, without a structural framework data privacy becomes a cause of concern," SAP Vice President of Digital Governments for Asia-Pacific and Japan Lovneesh Chanana said.
