Examining impacts of potential OECD government access principles

Georgetown University Law Center's Kenneth Propp, University Grenoble Alpes' Théodore Christakis and Alston & Bird's Peter Swire, CIPP/US, wrote a blog post for Lawfare discussing how the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's work on principles for government access to personal data could spawn a solution for international data transfers, particularly those between the EU and the U.S. Propp, Christakis and Swire outline the timeline and challenges for OECD's project while noting its potential completion "can have important normative significance."
