When we unveiled our new IAPP website just a few weeks back, we promised more options for our members and site-visitors alike, and earlier this month, we unveiled the latest change aimed at making it possible to get the most out of your interactions with the world’s largest privacy association: quick-and-easy views of what each product and event costs for members and nonmembers alike.

So, whether you’re looking to keep your privacy certification up-to-date with training and education, seeking enrichment opportunities to keep your edge at work or brushing up on your privacy knowledge to become a sought-after candidate in the profession, it’s now even easier to find out how to do that and what it will cost.

Take our web conferences and books: Building a Privacy Program—A Practitioner's Guide, which offers comprehensive, practical insights for creating a new privacy program or expanding your existing one, discounted by $20 per copy for members. And the 60-minute web conference recording, Counseling Your Board on Privacy, Security and Data Protection, for example, is free to members and available for purchase by nonmembers for $119, while the soon-to-be-aired Privacy and Confidentiality Risks in the Financial Services Sector—Potential Remediation is available at a $20 discount at $159 for members as opposed to $179 for nonmembers.

From the IAPP Privacy Academy and CSA Congress this month to this winter's Data Protection Congress in Brussels, Belgium, the cost options for each of our conferences, too, are now clearly visible via each event’s “Register Now” tab , and the member savings in attending just one event will pretty much cover the average of our individual membership fee options.

And, of course, there’s the savings you get on certification and training resources. Textbooks, training and practice tests are all discounted.

“In having our member and nonmember prices listed side-by-side for each product and event we offer, we hope to clearly demonstrate the benefit of joining the organization at an individual or corporate membership level,” explains IAPP Membership and Customer Relations Director Kimberly MacNeill, CIPP/US. “And, this also helps us further our mission of helping to ‘define, support and improve the privacy profession globally’ by providing options for nonmembers to further their privacy education by joining our community in a new way. “
