The European Parliament approved two legislative initiative reports that call upon the European Commission to remedy issues seen within the online environment as part of its Digital Services Act package. Members of the European Parliament want users to have more control over the content they encounter online, stricter regulations on targeted advertising, and for all third-country digital service providers to adhere to the DSA when directing services at EU customers. Parliament also adopted proposed rules on how the European Union can best regulate artificial intelligence technology.
