The European Commission unveiled the Digital Services Act and the Digital Market Act. Under the DSA, organizations could face fines of up to 6% of their annual revenue for violations of the act and 1% penalties for providing “incorrect, incomplete or misleading information” in reporting obligations or failing to “submit to an on-site inspection.” Platforms with at least 45 million users will be required to adhere to the DSA.
