- The European Commission is proposing a “Digital Green Certificate” for travel within the EU. The certificate will show proof of vaccination against COVID-19, a negative test result or recovery from the virus.
- Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo welcomed the “Digital Green Certificate” proposal but said its privacy aspects will have to be carefully considered, The Brussels Times reports.
- Walmart is making vaccination records available digitally for customers vaccinated at one of its locations or Sam’s Club. CEO and President John Furner said the “free and secure digital access” will enable customers to share vaccination status with third parties.
- In an American Medical Association webinar, University of New Hampshire Law Professor and Director of Health Law and Policy Programs Lucy Hodder discussed federal and state privacy regulations regarding behavioral health information.
