Representatives from the EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council offered updates following the council's May 16 summit. In a joint statement, the council said it would "accelerate our actions to promote the responsible use of technologies," with both sides agreeing that online platforms "should be transparent and be held accountable" with the services they provide. The council also voiced support for the Declaration of the Future of the Internet and intentions to "translate its principles into practice."
