EU and U.S. authorities announced the creation of the Joint Technology Competition Policy Dialogue. Leadership from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice Antitrust Division and the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission will partake in "high-level meetings as well as regular staff discussion" that will focus on "shared competition enforcement and policy issues" arising in technology markets. European Commission Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager said a "longstanding tradition of cooperation in competition policy and enforcement" between parties led to the new group.
