EU Justice Commissioner Věra Jourová and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross are among the more than 100 officials set to meet for the second annual review of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield agreement, Politico reports. The European Union seeks concessions from the U.S. on government agencies' use of EU citizens' data. The U.S. believes the Fourth Amendment and its current data-sharing deal with the EU offer proper privacy protections. “We have a list of things which needs to be done on the American side,” Jourová said. “And when we see them done, we can say we can continue.” U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland said earlier in October the United States is "fully compliant" with Privacy Shield.
