The European Union discovered evidence that employee smartphones were compromised by spyware, Reuters reports. The discovery stemmed from an investigation into European Commission staff's smartphones after Apple informed EU Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders his phone may have been hacked by NSO Group's Pegasus spyware. While the investigation "did not find conclusive proof" the phones were hacked, there was some evidence the phones had been compromised. NSO said it would cooperate with an investigation.
