The EU Cloud Code of Conduct General Assembly announced efforts to devise a new data transfer mechanism for cloud service providers in the wake of July's "Schrems II" ruling. While the EU Cloud CoC did not offer details into its potential legal solution, it said "the solution could be an alternative to the recently annulled EU-U.S. Privacy Shield." CSPs have been encouraged to offer input toward the creation of the new mechanism.
