Credit Union National Association announced a $30.5 million settlement with Equifax over the credit monitoring firm's 2017 data breach. Equifax has agreed to pay $5.5 million to consumers and financial institutions affected by the breach while also committing $25 million to improving its data safeguards and security measures. Meanwhile, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California will not dismiss a lawsuit against Google over alleged search history sharing. Also, advocacy groups filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles, California, over its tracking of scooter renters.
