Outgoing British Columbia Information and Privacy Commissioner Elizabeth Denham offered positive feedback toward new Freedom of Information policies, The Globe and Mail reports. Changes to the FOI system include automatically making travel receipts and daily calendars for cabinet ministers public and hosting a list of FOI requests on the government’s open information website. While Denham spoke highly of most of the new policies, she did express concern about posting information requests as the government receives them. “I wish to examine all possible implications, including any unintended consequences, of publicly disclosing a description of an applicant’s request for records before they have received those records,” Denham said in a statement.
