The European Data Protection Supervisor released a report on its “actions and achievements” over its past five-year mandate. “Leading by Example: EDPS 2015-2019” recaps the main objectives and action points set forth by former European Data Protection Supervisor Giovanni Buttarelli in 2015 and what the agency has done to make those goals a reality. “Five years on, people and policymakers are now increasingly aware of the reality and potential of digital technology and many regions in the world, not only the EU, are now examining how they can give people more control over their data and digital lives,” said Acting EDPS Wojciech Wiewiórowski. Meanwhile, the European Data Protection Board highlighted the topics it covered in its 16th plenary session.
