The European Data Protection Supervisor highlights its upcoming 2018 International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners in its latest newsletter. The EDPS states this year’s conference will focus on digital ethics, delving into why digital ethics are important, examining the risks and challenges in the digital age, and the ways organizations use technology to monitor and influence behavior. The 40th conference will feature representatives from the European Union, Silicon Valley executives, advocates, writers and journalists, academics, and data protection authorities. Speakers include Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and President of the European Court of Human Rights Guido Raimondi.
