On a podcast with Euractiv, European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski addressed his proposal for a June 2022 review on the effectiveness of EU General Data Protection Regulation enforcement. Wiewiórowski said, "we aren't sure that we want to change GDPR," noting the year ahead may be "a good time to look at the future and what our forecast should be in the prospect of five years and 10 years." Wiewiórowski also touched on GDPR one-stop shop, EU-U.S. Privacy Shield replacement and e-Privacy Regulation negotiations. Editor's note: Samuel Stolton broke down what to expect from the EU's data policy agenda for the coming months.
