The European Data Protection Board announced its November plenary will feature discussions on potential guidance to clarify the intersection of provisions on data transfers and territorial scope in the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Addressing the interplay between Article 3 and Chapter V may help better define a data transfer and whether transfers occur when data leaves the EU’s territorial or jurisdictional scope. Also on the board's agenda is planned discussion on a statement regarding the EU's Digital and Data Strategy.
