During its 42nd plenary meeting, the European Data Protection Board analyzed the European Commission's two drafts for new standard contractual clauses, which cover controller-to-processor contracts and international data transfers. EDPB Chair Andrea Jelinek welcomed the updates as "an important piece of the puzzle," noting that following EDPB recommendations on supplementary measures remains important. The board also announced the public consultation for the supplementary measures has been extended to Dec. 21. Additionally, the EDPB issued a statement regarding its position on and concerns for an ePrivacy Regulation agreement.
