The European Data Protection Board outlined feedback it has heard from stakeholders as it develops guidance on data subject rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The EDPB hosted workshops where participants discussed the right to access, rectification, erasure, restrict processing and the right to object. "The relevant expert subgroup will discuss data subject rights and submit draft guidelines to the plenary meeting for adoption. Following this preliminary adoption, the draft guidelines will be submitted to public consultation providing stakeholders with an additional opportunity to raise issues," EDPB Information and Communication Manager Greet Gysen wrote. "Only once this second round of input has been incorporated, the guidelines will be adopted in their final version." The EDPB expects the process to take place over several months.
