During its 31st plenary session, the European Data Protection Board addressed concerns regarding TikTok and Clearview AI. With TikTok, the EDPB announced it launched a task force to examine the video app for potential EU General Data Protection Regulation violations. The EDPB also provided its opinion on the use of Clearview AI's facial recognition technology by EU law enforcement, noting the use will "likely not be consistent with the EU data protection regime."
