The European Data Protection Board agreed to enhance enforcement cooperation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and to expand methods used. “More than ever, strong and swift enforcement is crucial for ensuring a consistent interpretation of the GDPR,” EDPB Chair Andrea Jelinek said, adding cross-border cases of "strategic importance” will be identified yearly with an action plan for cooperation. The EDPB will also identify procedures “that could be further harmonised on EU level to maximise the positive impact of GDPR.”
