During its 49th plenary session, the European Data Protection Board adopted two opinions on the first draft decisions on transnational Codes of Conduct. The supervisory authorities from France and Belgium brought the drafts forth with the intention to provide guidance and define specific requirements for EU processors subject to the codes. The Belgian draft is aimed toward cloud service providers, while the French code of conduct is for cloud infrastructure service providers. The EDPB also adopted a statement on the Data Governance Act during the session and offered a recommendation on the legal basis for the storage of credit card data.
