During a session of the Plenary of the National Assembly, lawmakers approved Ecuador's draft Data Protection Bill. The draft law passed the plenary with 118 affirmative votes. National Assembly of Ecuador Member Dennis Marín said six legislators and five national organizations presented comments on the draft bill. Marín called on lawmakers to pass the Data Protection Bill to help Ecuador enter into a modern framework.
