The Dutch data protection authority released a statement on the government's intentions to amend the Telecommunications Act so cellphone data can be used to combat the spread of COVID-19. The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens will soon publish its findings from the cabinet proposal but said it will not support any amendment unless "the proposal meets the strict standards of privacy legislation."
