DuckDuckGo browser intentionally allows Microsoft trackers on third-party websites, Bleeping Computer reports. This is due to an agreement between DuckDuckGo and Microsoft for their syndicated search content. Instead of creating a user profile that would display interest-based advertisements, DuckDuckGo presents contextual ads from partners, such as Ads by Microsoft. Microsoft ads could potentially track a user IP address if the ad link is clicked on. The browser allowed trackers for Bing and LinkedIn domains but blocked all others.
