Finland’s Office of the Data Protection Officer updated the Working Data Protection Manual to reflect changes in the Employment Data Protection Act. The updates include guidance on “collecting an employee’s personal data and the employer’s obligation to provide information,” as well as ensuring the act agrees with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. “The handbook is intended as information material for all workplaces and those working on data protection issues in working life,” the office said.
