Breaches will happen, Dell CSO John McClurg tells IT World Canada, but to stay clear of a fate like Ashley Madison’s now-former CEO, the key is providing employees with preventative education as well as keeping a vigilant eye for early breach detection. “It’s going to be how quickly you detect and react and what information was encrypted; that’s the new standard for success,” McClurg notes, adding, “if you haven’t properly educated the C-suite and messaged the culture, you may well get fired.
