AppleInsider reports on the hiring of Sabrina Ross, CIPP/US, as Apple’s privacy counsel. “A new Apple hire discovered on Monday may offer insight into the company's rumored push into health monitoring, which could integrate data from the much-rumored ‘iWatch’ with the company's iCloud service,” Mikey Campbell writes. Campbell refers to Ross’s CIPP credential and her background in the healthcare field, extrapolating, “If Apple does indeed release a health-monitoring app and decides to aggregate data in the cloud, the system would no doubt raise privacy concerns, especially with iOS' vast installed user base. Privacy best practices and other policies would need to be implemented before such a product rolled out.”
