Irish Data Protection Commissioner Helen Dixon said “it’s all going to remain to be seen” as to whether Facebook will follow through on its shift toward privacy, CNBC reports. Dixon added her office will continue its investigation into Facebook and other tech companies. “There will certainly be some of the investigations into Facebook that will reach a conclusion in the coming months,” Dixon said. Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal reports internal emails suggest Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg may have been aware of privacy practices that may have violated its consent decree with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Separately, the tech company asked the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to strike down a biometric privacy lawsuit.
