In an interview for Federal News Radio, Rob Foster explained how he believes the Department of the Navy is well positioned for the future following his tenure as chief information officer. Foster said he worked to change the way the service practiced cybersecurity and took steps to bring his office closer in line with the Clinger-Cohen Act. Foster added, “Privacy, strategic spectrum, cybersecurity and risk management framework were my strong suits.” Foster announced he would be leaving the DoN and taking a position as the deputy CIO at the National Credit Union Administration starting Aug. 21.
