Dell Technologies is facing a proposed class-action lawsuit in Nova Scotia, filed on behalf of thousands of Canadians whose personal information was compromised in a 2017 data breach, the Global News reports. The plaintiff is seeking compensation for two years of scam calls, as well as “anxiety and distress” resulting from the breach. In response, Dell said an investigation by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner found the company improved security safeguards and complaint handling and breach investigation practices.
