  • According to Bloomberg, two individuals charged with insider trading argued against EU authorities having excessive surveillance powers that invade citizens' privacy. In an appearance before a Luxembourg court, the defendants' lawyers claimed insider trading was not an exemption to EU privacy law, noting their actions did not risk national security and "cannot be equated with acts of terrorism or espionage."
