Data privacy platform Osano announced it has raised $5.4 million in Series A funding, Help Net Security reports. The platform, used by more than 750,000 companies on 3.5 million websites, monitors all the vendors sharing a business’s data across all websites. With the funds, Osano will invest in further research and development, as well as marketing and additional staff. “There is a definitive need to bring transparency to the process of how companies deal with privacy, and we are very excited about taking on this challenge to empower both individuals and organizations,” Osano Co-Founder and CEO Arlo Gilbert said.
