The Wall Street Journal reports the recent data governance proposal from the European Commission could potentially benefit automakers and their increasing work on connected vehicles. While introducing the proposed framework, European Commission Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager said the rules could aid the auto industry in developing consumer services using real-time vehicle location data.
