The Czech Republic's data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, released its half-year report on the use of third-party cookies by website operators. The UOOU outlined nine issues that came to light during its review, including the use of cookies without consent and no means for users to opt out of the application of cookies. UOOU Chairman Jiří Kaucký said the regulator has given operators "space to adapt" but will now "monitor compliance and reach out to administrators who violate the law."
